Sherfield Park - Will become it's own Parish

This is fantastic news for Sherfield Park / Taylor's Farm community.

You may remember at the end of last year, you may have participated in the second stage of consultation on proposals to set up a new parish council for the Sherfield Park community at Taylor’s Farm.

The area is currently covered by the Sherfield-on-Loddon Parish Council.

A decision was taken at a meeting of all councillors in March this year to support this as a way forward.

It was resolved that as of 1 April 2016:

  • Sherfield-on-Loddon parish is to be altered by the separation of the Taylor’s Farm parish ward from the parish and will then have eight parish councillors

  • a new parish council is to be created (for the separated Taylor’s Farm parish ward) to be named Sherfield Park Parish Council with seven parish councillors to be elected in 2016.

Please note that a notice has been published in the Basingstoke Gazette on 28 May 2015 and the webpage which contains all relevant information is also available on the councils website, this can be accessed by clicking on the following link
