Black Dam Roundabout

BLACK DAM ROUNDABOUT

Highways England has announced that the roadworks at Black Dam roundabout has been delayed. This is because Highways England and their contractors have had to deal with unexpected complex issues regarding buried utilities. The exact location of gas, electricity and water utilities have caused problems at the site as these utilities were laid many years ago when mapping of cables and pipes was not as accurate as it is today.

However, completion of the new roundabout is now expected in November.

These roadworks have caused lengthy delays for local residents and additional rat running through the village of Old Basing causing considerable road safety concerns to local residents.

I continue to meet regularly with Highways England officers and always report back issues that are raised by local residents.
